Coconut Oil, organic, cold pressed
Coconut Oil is a fantastic super food for dogs that we include in all of our baked products. It is mostly known and given to improve skin and coat health. Coconut oil mainly has medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) which is utilised very effectively by the dog as an energy source and has less risk of being stored in fat tissues. With a high amount of lauric acid which has potent antimicrobial properties, it can kill a number of bacteria such as Helicobatcter pylori (the main cause of stomach ulcers), fights viral infections and a variety of yeast and funghi such as some types of ringworm.
We only use cold pressed organic cocnut oil. ‘Cold pressed’ means that the oil gets mechanically extracted from the coconut flesh at temperatures no higher than 50 degrees Celsius to preserve all natural health benefits.
